There are some weddings that stand out, and this was certainly one of them. Sarah and Brian’s nautical York, Maine wedding at Dockside Restaurant exuded pure happiness. So much joy. My cheeks hurt after the wedding I was smiling so much! I recall one of their wedding guests coming up to me and saying, “How can you beat a wedding with a bride and groom this happy?” The simple answer is, you can’t.
Weddings by nature are joyous and fun-filled, but perhaps one element that infused more happiness was the fact that Sarah’s mother was there by her side. She is a cancer survivor, and the sweet interactions and love shared between the two of them stood out as I was snapping away. I believe the love on display between Sarah and Brian, and between family, was inspirational for everyone at the wedding.
The other memorable part of this wedding was the epic send-off. Family and friends followed these two love birds to the edge of the dock, and sent them on their way as newlyweds in a boat. That moment is definitely a favorite from the year, and you can see the boat send-off, and more, below!
