One of the things I’ll be focusing more on this year is updating this blog with more educational materials. My goal is to help you better understand the value of wedding photography, my services, products, and personality, as well as how you can make the most of your wedding photography. This new blog series is called “Coffee Break with SJP” and it will go live every Monday morning in the 10 o’clock hour – just in time for you to grab your latte, and take a tiny 15-minute break from your daily hustle.
As you can imagine, there is a lot to talk about! So let’s get started. One of the things that has been on my mind is helping you understand the time that goes into the wedding package you purchase. Okay, this is a tough one, because every client has different needs, and I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. Below I have put together a sample breakdown of just what I do for each client so you can better understand your investment:
- In-Person Consultation
- Contract Preparation
- Engagement Session
- Editing Engagement Session and Uploading Files
- Creating and Consulting on Wedding Day Photography Agenda
- Wedding Venue Site Check
- Wedding Day Coverage
- Culling, Editing Wedding Day Photos
- Uploading the Wedding Gallery and Associated Client Communication
- Photo Print Order Fulfillment
- Album Design and Production
And of course, there are plenty of other things that aren’t accounted for, like invoicing, travel time, blogging your beautiful photos, posting to social media…you get the picture (pun intended!). I hope this blog post sheds more light on what I’m doing in addition to showing up on your wedding day. Feel free to post any questions or comments below!
