Ryan and Rebecca are the types of people who are perfectly okay doing their engagement photos in the rain. Not only okay, but the types who will run through the rain, skipping, with smiles on their faces. Yes, that was my first experience with these two last December, and I can say that is the type of energy they brought to their wedding day. The day was both fun and emotion-filled, and for me, it genuinely showcased the heart of what weddings should be all about – family and loved ones. The first example of this were the beautiful moments between Rebecca, Ryan and their daughter. I can’t help but smile knowing that their daughter will look back on these photos as an adult and see the part she played in her parents’ wedding day. The other example was the presence of Rebecca’s grandmother, who had passed a couple weeks before the wedding. Her spirit was everywhere that day, especially in the moments toward the end of the night, when Rebecca’s grandfather sang their special song, and then danced to that song with his granddaughter. Smiles. Tears. Joy. Love. A big thanks to Ryan DeVoll for shooting this very special wedding with me!
