Vermont weddings, you have my heart. As soon as you cross the border into Vermont, it’s like entering another country. The pace is a bit slower. The air a bit cleaner. And the food…well, that’s another story. Oh, and let’s not forget the green mountains. They are like a painting in a museum you can stare at for hours. While it’s awesome to explore another slice of the country, the best part of Vermont was getting to witness Katie and Joey say I Do. These two are as real as they come. I first met Katie and her family about three years ago at her sister Sarah’s wedding. Her family is just awesome, which is why I was thrilled when Katie reached out to document her Mountain Top Inn wedding. These two love birds scored the most perfect, sunny day in May. Katie arrived to the grassy, rose petal adorned aisle by way of horse-drawn carriage. How magical is that? Her dad walked her down the aisle, and Joey took her hand. The ceremony was sentimental and their vows were genuine and tear-inducing. It was beautiful to document. After the ceremony, they had the sweetest reunion with their pups. Dog lovers have a special place in my heart!
As the sun started to set, the party kicked off. Katie and Joey entered the reception in the raddest Mr. and Mrs. jackets. Joey, a talented musician, sang The Way You Look Tonight to honor both set of parents on the dance floor. There was Lebanese dancing, drinking games and it was clear the party was only beginning when I left for the evening. I could go on, but the pictures will speak for themselves.
