Amanda and Ryan are high school sweethearts, and oh my goodness…you can absolutely see their chemistry on camera! Their engagement session took place in mid-March, and when we originally booked the date we thought all of the snow would be melted…wishful thinking, given this crazy winter! I’m actually glad the snow was still on the ground because this backdrop was absolutely stunning! On the day of the engagement session at Borderland State Park, we saw there was MORE SNOW in the forecast. We kept the scheduled shoot, and given the expected weather, we worked quickly to get a lot done in a condensed period of time. As we were walking to our cars, the skies opened up – perfect timing! I cannot wait until their wedding next December at the new, completely renovated Lakeview Pavilion. You might recall that a fire destroyed this venue in 2014, but the team over there has worked hard to completely rebuild this beautiful venue, and they are reopening in September of this year! I love a beautiful winter wedding, and I know this one is going to be awesome.
