Meet Abe. He’s a French Bull Dog and his personality matches his heritage precisely: bull-headed, playful, comical and oh-so loveable.
Over the weekend I went up to Amesbury to have a play date with this little guy and to meet up with my friend Jess, Abe’s proud mom.
It is safe to say that Abe loves the limelight and he will pose so long as he’s not interested in anything else (ahem, his roommate Leah, the fat tortoiseshell cat who was a doll but loves to tease him).
The day was so nice that we ventured over to Woodsom Farm Park, a large 500-acre field that was donated years ago to the town for residents and dogs to enjoy. Abe especially enjoys this park, and he did a lot of running around. Have you ever seen a French Bull Dog fly? It was quite the site.
Abe did get in trouble a few times (he may or may not have made a snack out of horse poo) but for the most part he was a good sport. Isn’t he the cutest?
